MoMA's New Chief Curator of Painting and Sculpture is Ann Temkin
John Elderfield has spent 30 years hunting down works for the Museum of Modern Art.
Ann Temkin will succeed John Elderfield as chief curator of painting and sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art.
Temkin has worked at MoMA since 2003 as a curator of a painting and sculpture, playing a key role in the acquisition of important works by both established and younger artists, planning and implementing the reinstallation of MoMA's painting and sculpture collection in 2004, and organizing numerous exhibitions.
She worked as a curatorial assistant at MoMA from 1984 to 1987 and a curator of modern and contemporary art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 1990 to 2003. [from artinfo]
