Sotheby’s Auctioned off $315.9 Million Worth of Contemporary Art

Sotheby’s auctioned off $315.9 million worth of contemporary art in New York – a total that far surpassed its pre-sale estimate of $220 million to $283 million.
It was the highest in the company’s history, with about 91.6% of the art on offer finding buyers.
